Barbora Myslikovjanová: Dreams and Transformations

 

BookmarkArt Mosaic, Gallery in the Corridor, Politických vězňů 8, Prague 1, presents an interesting sales exhibition of Barbora Myslikovjanová's paintings: Dreams and Transformations in a large hall on the 1st floor from 19 October to 18 November 2021.

At the exhibition, we present larger paintings by the current prominent and talented author, who has already presented herself at several strong author exhibitions. The exhibition is a cross-section of the last 14 years of Barbora Myslikovjanová's work in the field of painting and presents the viewer with a number of lesser-known works that reflect the author's distinctive view of her personal life, but also of contemporary children and their often difficult adolescence.

The viewer can only guess how much of the experience, experiences and traumas of her generation the author puts into paintings and drawings, but in addition to darker tones of colors, she often finds decadent humor, exaggeration and boundless imagination in her paintings and drawings.

The exhibition takes place in parallel with another exhibition by Barbora Myslikovjanová in the renowned Art Gallery in Chrudim (mid-October to early December 2021).

Barbora Myslikovjanová (born 1989) is a Czech painter. In the years 2006 - 2010 she studied applied painting at SUPŠ sklářská in Valašské Meziříčí (under the guidance of L. Wojaczek). Then, from 2010 to 2016, she graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (Vladimír Kokolia's II Graphics Studio and Michael Rittstein's III Painting Studio). She has exhibited at a number of author and group exhibitions.
