Art Mozaika, Galerie na chodbě, Politických vězňů 8, Prague 1, presents an exceptional charity event in the large hall on the 1st floor on 30 November 2021 from 5 pm - sale of unique collector's postcards combined with a scratch card with reproductions of Alfons Mucha's last work Three ages.

Project description

Alfons Mucha, a world-renowned painter, photographer and especially the founder of Art Nouveau, was born in South

Moravia in Ivančice. And it was in Ivančice that a project was created to build a museum mapping life and life

the work of this unique artist.

The Ivančice Mucha project was created in cooperation with the Ivančice town management, the grandson of Alfons Mucha John

and Fundartovka. This project aims not only to financially support the implementation part of the construction, but

also to acquaint the public with the hitherto lesser-known work of Alfons Mucha through unique

postcards. The proceeds from the sale of these postcards will be used by the city of Ivančice for the purpose of renewal

Mucha's memorial.

The main motif of the postcards with the scratch field is the as yet unpublished triptych Three Ages by A. Mucha -

The Age of Love, The Age of Reason and The Age of Wisdom. This is an unfinished project by Alfons Mucha, who

was supposed to be the author's message to humanity, but has not yet been published to the public. Alfons Mucha

he considered love, reason, and wisdom to be the building blocks of life. According to his notes

he considered love and reason to be two extremes that can only be connected through wisdom.

The individual fronts of the postcards represent the mentioned motifs. On the back of the postcards is the first

Czechoslovak stamp 10-haler, again from author A. Mucha, stamp with date of first issue

marks and a scratch pad with the possibility of interesting prizes.

By purchasing these postcards you will get a unique collector's specimen with the opportunity to win interesting

prices, but above all you will contribute to the reconstruction of the Alfons Mucha Museum in his native Ivančice.
